Mark,
I soldered the blue heating elements in the 5000, 200, S4 and S6. They 
all were made out of some multistrand soldarable wire. I was surprised 
as well, expecting to find a NiCr single strand wire.

In fact the only time I couldn't solder the wire was the temp sensor in 
the Intercooler in my 200TQ. That one I had to spotweld.
