Jacob did arrive weighing 8lbs 2 ozs. While she's out of town my car is down for timing belt, etc., and of course the GT 35R turbo and tubular manifold. Her A6 4.2 has the added feature of heated steering wheel. I came back late the other night and the warmth of the seat and wheel were simply awesome. BTW, it warms up in a matter of a few seconds.
BMW's X5 "Stupid Useless Vehicle" also has the heated steering wheel.
VERY NICE. Also nice is the combination of their new 4.4L valvetronic
V8 (no throttle!), 6 speed auto-manual, and X-drive. It's a huge
improvement over the original X5 powertrain. Torsenboy would like the
Xdrive, the active control over the center transfer clutch allows a
very nice balance of over/under steer... Too bad they don't fit
that V8 with a 6 speed manual and X drive in a 5 series without
I-Drive and the hit-by-an-ugly-stick styling...
I wonder what it would take to hook up an A6 4.2 Heated steering wheel
to my 95.5 S6 .....
Cheers,
Keith
