Here is what the OEM breakage looks like:

I have replaced with NEW OEM brackets...TBD how long it holds up..then
on to Johns better brackets.

Bill, I have the solution to broken Brackets.
My kit replaces the Audi sourced bracket and supplies new spacers. You
use all your existing parts, including bolts.
$50 plus shipping gets you unbreakable replacements.

I have delivered 12 sets to date with no complaints.
