I know a lot of you are very handy and knowledgeable about stuff- can
anyone help me out with table saws? I'm buying one as a Xmas present,
need to know what features are must-haves and what makes one brand or
model superior to others.
Looking for a $500 range saw. Also, the best vendor to buy from in
terms of price and reliability.
Also, any recommendations on a good, ball-bearing tool chest
(single-wide, not double) as well as a small workbench (like 28-30")?
I'm looking at Craftsman's mid-range 6-drawer chest for around $300
for the tool chest (the roller part, not the top piece) and still
looking for a good, small workbench.
Thanks,
Taka

Stay away from Kennedy. Bought one many years ago thinking they were mid
range quality, and I have never been happy with it.
Many pro wrenches, including a friend of mine refer to Craftsman as
"Crapsman", and from their perspective I understand. However, for my money, they are
unbeatable for the price, and I think their boxes are great for non-pro use.
I feel Sears has made a come back in the last 5 years. Many of their products
are now Snap-On and Mac knock-offs.
I really like the polished off-set box end wrenches for the control arm to
sub-frame bolts, and strut top nuts.
That sounded like a holiday present? Aren't we related somehow?
