Chris,
	I put this puppy on this summer and had the same problems. You'll
have to adjust the point where the linkage from the shifter connects with
the linkage to the tranny under the car. It's definitely time consuming to
do alone, but you'll see that you have at least an inch of adjustment
available where to bolt the linkages together. 

It's tedious but keep at it. I spent the better part of the day getting it
just right for me and it was a pain because I had no one helping me.

Any special install instructions/BTDT's on this one?  I'm having trouble
getting it into 1st gear... When I go for it, it wants to go to 3rd and
takes a lot of work for me to get it into 1st.
