[s-cars] Pressurising intake to detect leaks.

I've built a pressure tester that fits into the turbo input hose.
I'm trying to pressurise it with a bicycle track pump (i.e. not a
skinny little hand held thing, but a serious hand pump with gauge).
Still much lower volume than a compressor.
Anyway, I can't get it to build up measurable pressure, yet when I
open the oil filler cap, pressurised air comes wooshing out. So I'm
clearly getting some pressure build-up, but nothing like the recommended
15 psi. Should such a system "hold" 15 psi, or does one have to keep a i
compressor pumping in lots of air? (I've got Samcos all through and a
Forge bypass valve and a new RS2 turbo and manifold).
Can't hear any leaks for what that's worth. Thanks.
