[s-cars] Multi Function Temp Sensor or Thermostat?

My gauge has the opposite problem. It reads 60-65C upon startup when it is
32 degrees outside. My conclusion, from watching the list traffic, is that
either the gauge or the sending unit has a crappy design.

On my 95 S6, the first mark is at 60, the straight up top mark is 130 with
one (bold) mark in between. My gauge reads just above the 60....maybe
indicating about 70. I thought it was completely broken (all this
time) -- but it does move, it only gets just past 60 though.

I'm with you Mark. I have a 93 S4 and I run in the city and the highway at
about 100 C. My gauge readings start at 60 with the next marker at 160 -
the needle resides about half way between - so I guess that is about 100.
