There was a recall on the frontal airbag sensor control module (NHTSA
Campaign ID 97V172000) for this my. If this recall has not been remedied,
it may be your issue.

HTH,
Jim

Subject: [s-cars] RE: No Start 92 S-4 after dead battery was charged

Thanks to all who responded about the trouble starting my '92 S4. With end
of the year stuff at work plus the holiday, I didn't get a chance to check
the car until this past weekend. After reading through the various
messages, I decided to check the battery again. The water levels were fine
and the battery charger would read a successful charging, but I got a car
battery tester from a relative and checked out the Audi brand battery. The
rating was 650 CCA, but the tester showed 154 CCA. I installed a new Audi
battery last night and the car started right up.

As a side note, the warranty on the old battery had just expired a couple of
days before the car wouldn't start. Talk about planned obsolescence!

Now the only issue is that when I start the car, the air bag light comes on.
The first couple of times last night, it stayed on for about 10 minutes.
This morning, it stayed on for about 5 minutes, until the car had warmed up.
Anything to be very concerned about?

TIA for any help.

Andy
