I too finally got my much waited for S4. I am in on the RS2 group buy as
well. However, I currently plan to get all the parts and sit on them. I am
afraid that it will eventually be very difficult to come by some of the
parts to RS2 an S4/S6, so I will buy them now and put them on when I have
all of them. First and foremost I will go BIRA system 3 with the brakes,
the current BIRA group buy will save me some money. I already have
Eibach/Bilsteins, the handling is superb.
Eventually, I will add the RS2 components. I do agree, in bone stock form,
the S4 is quite a lot of car. I want to know this baby like I used to know
my 87 GTI 16V, I could do anything in that car.
What makes me really scared is that there are people out there with 300HP
tin cans that can't drive worth S$#%T. Subaru WRX STi and the Evo. When I
have 300+ ponies, I want to know exaclty what my car will do.

Chris-
IMHO, you should learn how to drive the car at close to 10/10ths
comfortably- learn the limits of the car before applying upgrades. It will
give you a much better idea of what the baseline is and how to improve upon
that baseline.
That said, once you are comfortable with the limits of the car (again
mentioning that the car's limits are far higher than you most likely
realize), brakes should be addressed, especially with a chipped car. Then
I'd consider going to 17" or 18" wheels and other suspension modifications
and finally the power mods.
I've BTDT x2 and probably will not go whole hog on a car again without
learning what the baseline should be.
Taka
