[s-cars] Can spark plugs be revived

Story:
Filled up the car last night on a trip with Texaco 93
(fuel light just came on). Car ran fine for about a 45
mins to my destination. On the return trip 30 mins in
she develops a hiccup. Idling rough, pulled over and
discovered she had developed a smell also. Ok 200
miles from home lets see if we can limp home (famous
last words). She cuts out on the interstate...coast to
the shoulder will not start. 20 mins and 2 state
troopers later she starts up rough again. 

Question:
If plugs are fouled can they be cleaned or do I need
to replaced them regardless. Anybody else have issues
with the star. The last time I used them (different
station) 3 years ago I fouled a plug. 

On bright side it was only 30 Degrees in CT and no
snow.
