[s-cars] Igntition switch failure?

Franco,
Car will not start..  all the gauge lights come on but there is no
starter action what so ever.
Am I f'd?

On the 95 A6/S6, I think it's part number 4A0 905 849.
(Don't know if there's a suffix.)
Should cost about $30 USD.

If you don't notice the switch has gone bad and the starter ends up
running all the time, it can do damage to the starter (and probably
more stuff too.)

Can you start your car?  If you can, the starter is probably ok.
