TWO WORDS: FRAUD & FRAUD.

I can count on a no-fingered hand the number of ways this will work out to
the buyer's favor.

Caveat emptor takes on new meaning.

I called the guy about the S2 Avant, here is what the story is:

1. The car is bought and will ship in a container; taxable selling price
was $100.00 ... low import tax.

2. The car will not be converted to U.S.; my understanding is that it
cannot be done economically, the seller commented that I could work a deal
with a used car dealer and have it listed in their inventory and then pay
the dealer to allow me to drive the car using dealer plates ... ie. not
titled, therefore, not needing to meet U.S. Specifications.

3. My insurance company would not insure the car. The seller recommended
having the dealer include the car in their insurance and pay for its
coverage through them...

4. Ebay start price was $15,000 ... wanted 18,500.

Needless to say, I will keep my S6 and I bought my wife a used A4 1.8T.
