I replaced my low beams last weekend - they were indeed 9006s (S6 95.5).

I went with a Sylvania bulb at the suggestion of a lister on our Seattle
Audi list. Can't remember the model, but it has a temp of 4000K vs. HIDs,
which start at 4100K. For $50, it was the best upgrade I've done. Much
brighter than stock at a 1/10 of the cost of HIDs.
