[s-cars] Fuel Line Safety?

Hi Dave;

The KY recall keeps the same flexibility as the OEM installation, it just
runs the hard pipe higher up on the firewall than the OEM hardpipe. The KY
line still has a flex hose at the fuel filter and at the fuel rail.

Subject: [s-cars] Fuel Line Safety?

Sorry but I just realized something after I replied to Cody's email about
Hap's new fuel reservoir:

When the car was designed, it likely needed the braided lines to give enough
flex during a front-end crash so that the fuel filter and fuel lines were
not damaged and the car could meent TUV and US and Canadian DOT
requirements. The "KY" fuel line replacement was with "hard" piping.
Hmmmm. So would the car still pass the same front end crash requirements as
it did with braided fuel lines? I wonder. Future law suits in the making?
Hello Mr. Audi?
