[s-cars] Monster S-car Survey - Lack of Participation?!

Marc;
UFO brakes have an internal rotor that looks nothing like a regular brake
disc. If your brake discs look like the ones you see on most other
(non-Audi) cars, you don't have UFOs. If your disc kind of looks like a
steel wheel within your wheel (what's that Ezekiel?) you have UFOs.
If you have a regular brake disc that fits inside a 16" wheel with lots of
room to spare, you have G60s. If you can barely get a 16" wheel over the
brakes, you have HP-2s; in fact, I don't know if a 16" wheel will fit over
HP-2s.
With the doors locked, pull up on the door handle. Put your finger on the
lock cylinder. If it doesn't feel warm within 30 seconds, you don't have
heated locks.
If you have R134, there will be a sticker under the hood (probably near the
rad or A/C condenser) saying R134.

Subject: Re: [s-cars] Monster S-car Survey - Lack of Participation?!
Hi Dave, et. al.:
I'm trying to take the survey but I need a bit of help answering a couple
of relatively newbie questions about my car. Since all of the questions
have to be answered I can't complete the survey without the info.
For example, I don't know how to tell if I have UFO, G60 or HP-2 brakes.
Also, I don't know if I have heated door locks or not, and without taking
apart a door I am not sure how to find out. It's warmer than 32 in Detroit
this weekend so spraying water in the lock and leaving it outside won't be
an option. ;-) Lastly, I don't know how to tell if my A/C is using R12 or
R134.
Help appreciated, flames tolerated.
Thanks,
Marc
