[s-cars] Idea for an add on/update for the Valentine V1

chris,
if you want to make any money off an invention, don't tell everybody
about it until after you've filed a patent application. and don't
send it to valentine unsolicited, without a nondisclosure agreement.
if valentine likes it, they may just take it and start using it
without any compensation to you.
very often, the devil is in the details, so even though you might not
be able to get a patent on the general idea, you might still be able
to patent a specific implementation. for example, what kirby describes
would tend to narrow the scope of the claims you could get in a patent,
but it would not prevent you from patenting something that works in
conjunction with the V1 - particularly the automatic storage part.
the V1-based system might, for example, record information about the
number of radar contacts and their directions at a specific location,
rather than just that there was a radar contact there. it might also
be set up to do it automatically.
