Mikka and Bob,
Thanks so much for the info. Once again the list comes thru in short notice.
I ended up using 4 of my small screw drivers to get the tabs two move in and down
at the same time and using a fifth to coax the top lip of the top circuit board free from
the "black plastic connector housing". POP it went, I(almost soiled myself)!
Located the pertinent serial numbers I think. Some of the handwriting was hard to decipher. Fortunately I was able to confirm the pressure sensor (Bosch) was labeled 300kPa, which means I do have the 3 bar sensor. Now I just have to decipher the other 2 chips
Top Board Chip says;
MOT S6 (then something unintelligable)
269 PS 3.0
72.04.99
Bottom Board Chip says:
LDR S6
269 PS 3.0
72.06.09
I am hopeful that this is the MTM Stage 1+ chipset.
I did manage to get everything back together and reinstalled in the car. Miss Piggy fired right up (Whew!).
This is my first turbo equipped car, in the summer I saw, typically, 20 psi (1.38 bar) on my gauge, but in the winter I'm seeing 22 psi (1.5 bar). Am i right in assuming this is normal due to mother natures "intercooling" effect?
