I know about the motor for the level adjust. I was going to tackle it after I 
had actually gotten the lights working.
Authenticity is precisely the reason I went after the stock xenons. That 
besides it really sticks me that we never got the really good stuff either because 
of regulations or because of some cockamamie perception that we 'muricans 
were not good enough
