[s-cars] adjusting throttle switch

Just bought a new throttle switch and I'm having difficulty adjusting
it. When I clamp the switch tightly to the throttle body, there is too
much resistance for the throttle to return to idle... it'll usually get
stuck around 4000rpm and I'll have to manually push the cable to idle.
Right now I have to run with the swith loosly bolted to the throttle
body to allow free movement. Of course that gives me a check engine
light and a bucking engine..

Am I missing something simple on the adjustment of the switch? I've
tried adjusting it to both extremes with no luck.

thanks in advance,
kc
