This is certainly disapppointing to read, Igor... As a new Audi owner (but
veteran VAGer), I can put up with some mechanical issues (after all, if I
wanted soulless efficiency, I would have bought Japanese) but the attitude
of AoA is disconcerting. I can only hope that I don't run into the types
of issues you have or, if I do, the 'customer advocates' you did! I do
agree with the comment that someone made regarding BMW being the same,
just different issues...  

Before I bought my A4, I spent a few months on the AW A4 B6 Forum just
lurking. While there were several instances of issues with AoA, it seemed
that most of them involved modified (mainly chipped) cars... Strangely
enough, several owners warranties were voided when they had catastrophic
failures on their chipped 1.8T's... It was interesting to observe the
wailing and gnashing of teeth. At the same time, I suspect that AoA gets
these types of calls frequently, which may blunt their compassion for
those that have 'real' problems such as yours. A shame.
