[s-cars] Hood release - not

Got it open - finally. Then I adjusted the little clip on the end of the
cable in order to rather effectively shorten the cable by about 7-8
mm. Thanks for the suggestions, Y'all. A moderately gentle whack on the
hood did the trick. Had to get the better half to pull the lever and one
good whack and open it came.

Then, while preparing to put the clip back on the end of the cable I
dropped it. D'oh! It went clear down to the belly pan. That, of course
required dropping one side of the belly pan and feeling around for the
clip. Got it back and had the better half tie a thread onto it while I was
doing the adjustment so that if it popped off again it wouldn't fall as far
this time. Anyway - I can now open the hood at will. And I didn't forget
to reattach the belly pan. :-)

Thanks, Peter, Elijah, Pizzo, and Bob (and anyone else I may have overlooked).
