I forgot to mention that if the leak is at the fitting, then the hose
could be cut behind it, an AN fitting attached, and a suitable hose with
banjo bolt end employed to attach it to the front of the fuel filter.

This tube runs all the way to the front of the fuel rail and is brazed to the rail.  On the earlier cars, don't know when it was swiched over, the tube was bolted to the fuel rail with a banjo bolt.
