Subject: [s-cars] Limo Tint and Back-up lights

As Igor can attest to, I have extremely dark tint on my windows. So much so
that backing out of my driveway at night I need to stick my head out the
window to stay off the lawn. Does anybody have experience/care to comment
on higher wattage back-up lights? Perhaps halogens?

Regards,

Mark

Mark-

I hear ya. And, heh, yet another unmentioned Happerarea to address. I ran
halogen 55w back up bulbs in my E28 ///M5. While they are far from the
endallbeall answer to your problem, they certainly will at least help a
little. Again, a little. In my 242GT with 20% tint they definitely made it
less barely-backable... but were a marked improvement in the BMW sans tint.
IIRC, got them from Griots or the like, maybe $10-15?

What I did note that improved my UrS back lighting was moving to the euro
center panel. The white lenses it features appear far less fluted,
consequently seeming to shine a fair amount more light out back. Now that
and halogen's, that may help you. Stupid me forgot to gank them outta the
///M when I pitched it though, d'oh!

-Paul also forgot his f'n Hella 118dB horns in his 2.3-16, dolt, K.
