Tom,

Two set of keys is another solution. And with -29C outside, I think I'll
first take care of how long my butt will last, the drivetrain comes
after. It's all a matter of priorities.

BTW, I wonder what's better for the car: rely on -15C oil for turbo
lubrification or wait until it reaches at least 30C. But anyway, when
it's lower than -25C, the last word goes to my butt, not my car :-P

Guys, Remote starters are a boon to car thieves. They drive around, see
an
idling car, sit in and drive away. Toronto police have just issued a
caution
on this yesterday.
I'd say its good advice.
One other thing, idling a car is the worst way to warm it up, drive the
F______g thing. This way all of the moving parts are brought up to
temperature at the same time.
Maybe the drivetrain will last longer too.
End of rant.

No BTDT on the urS but I had installed one on a friend's 90Q12V.
Installation was not so bad but using it... You have to start the day
before when you leave your car!
- Keep the car running
- Press the remote button
- Switch off the car, the car will still run
- Close the door
- Press the remote again, the car will stop and lock
Then, next morning, you'll be able to remote-start. You'd better look at
weather.com before you get out of the car!
