I'd recomend the strut tower bearings and bushings, as
well as the rubber shock "guard" - not sure what it's
really called.
I had a very similar clunk - occured with sharp radius
turns - only happened once per turn and usually
occurred when initiating motion (forward or backwards)
- I've completely eliminated it by 1) replacing the
shock tower bushings and 2) tightening the streering
"play" adjustment.
