[s-cars] Is there a long-term soluton to e-brake shaft corrosion?

Noticed my ebrake is exhibiting symptoms of getting stuck? I am also due for a
brake job pretty soon. Is there a "permananent" or longer-lasting solution due
the ebrake problem caused by the corrosion?

How about a different caliper with a better design altogether?
