Back to Audi content.....

This device looks very promising; it is certainly more time effective
than pulling the tranny.  Of course, it only shortens the upper part of
the linkage, it doesn't lengthen the lower part which would further
change the throw.  

I haven't got an FA installed at the moment; anyone care to check
whether the shifter shaft is different on an S4/S6 than on a 94 100,
which this purportedly fits?  Maybe I'll get one for my 90q also.
