Come on Hap:
I read the below, you've made my point. Put another way, even with all those
guages, a high budget, a car built by a decent shop, and a Hawaiin shirted
pilot at the helm, ck engine lights come forth with a non integrated controller.
My thinking is that any/all/one of the below could potentially be engine
life threatening, especially the engine retard function... . All of ck engine
lights are expost facto, again my point with a non integrated controller.
Bottom line the controller has been too agressive in it's tunnel vision, and with
only a change in altitude, will continue to do so.
In the world of glide ratios, I say miss piggy is much easier to land with
prop attached.

Come on Scott
I have all the functions that you assume I no longer have since I use the
Apexi. I still get check engine lights, MAF airflow overspeed cut, and
ignition
retard protection just to mention a few I have experienced when using the
controller and exceeding a parameter. I keep a very close eye on a lot of
engine
parameters with boost pressure, EGT, wideband digital air/fuel ratio gauges
plus
the stock gauges. Besides I'm a very sensitive 21st Century kind of guy and
really pay close attention to my Baby.
