Konstantine -

Congratulations! You now have a full time list job. You may want to add to
the "Watch for loose plugs" all points bulletin:

- bad plug boots
- bad plugs
- boost leak
	a. lower Michelin man hose (esp if you just chipped your "new to you" car)
	b. blown pressure line off firewall moisture trap
	c. your next most favorite / common leak site
- confused IR remote door locking system ~> ? parking under fluorescent
lights?
- loose, empty wallet caused by listening to list advice

What else does the list want to add?

Or you can just suggest everyone surf the www.urs4.org and other UrS4 sites
FAQ's
FWIW, for you thread refurbishing Q's, you might want to consider looking at
the problem from the other end. Take a spark plug and measure it for the
length, size & thread pitch you want to screw the plugs into. The greater
challenge may be how comfortable you feel with doing this with the head on
the car. Somewhere in the list archives are some lengthy discussions of the
process, the suggested procedures and recommendations for products, i.e.
helicoil vs. TimeSerts. I think there may also be some cautionary advice
re: the potential effects, or lack thereof of the inserts on plug
temperature etc. IIRC, I think Scott Justusson posted some lengthy thoughts
on, and about the process and his personal plug rethreading technique. I
don't know if there was ever a FAQ written up on this and posted to the .org
or .com site.

Good luck, HTH

~P.S. Please, when new person join the list after recent car purchase,
welcome him by raising awareness of loose spark plugs (anything else
treacherous like this one?) :-)
