Perhaps your ignition switch will need replacing soon.

Subject: [s-cars] electrical question

Was hoping there might be some list wisdom on two issues on my 95 s6:

The dash lights just stopped working. The red ones that back-light the
speedo and tach. The spot with the OK light still works, as does the
thermometer. Also the 3 gauges at the right are no longer lit. Any
ideas
where to check? I checked the two fuse locations. One was blown, but
replacing it did not fix anything. The blown fuse was 15 amps under the
hood nearest the firewall and towards the inside (away from the fender).
What does this fuse do? I checked the fuse again after trying the
lights
and it did not blow again. I haven't been playing with wiring lately.
I
did drive up a driveway a little too fast shortly before this happened,
but
I'm not sure how this could be related.

Also my sky window doesn't open. It was frozen shut and I tried to open
it.
I heard to motor making sounds but it didn't open. Later (after driving
for
a while) I tried it again and it opened and shut properly (it had been
forced a hair open from ice which was why I tried to open it at 0
degrees in
the first place). However now operating the swich has no effect. No
motor
noise, nothing. Obvious fuses checked and seem OK. Any suggestions?
Incidently, the sky window broke about 2 weeks ago, so I doubt this is
related to the dash lights.

Thanks in advance!

Ed
