I just took a look at this. It's *great*

There's a rule that many good samaritans with 4wd or awd will use. Let the
stuck person put the tow strap on his own car. Then check it to see if *you*
think it's safe to pull.

That way, if a bumper gets pulled off anyway, it's their fault.

On the other hand, I've seen too many idiots do too many stupid things to
even get involved anymore.

I pulled one jerk out of a snow bank. He waved thanks and started to drive
off, completely forgetting that we were still tethered. Doh.

Since I sold my Range Rover, I stopped carrying a tow strap. Don't think
I'll get one either...the Audi doesn't have much in the way of easy to
access tow loops.
