For a new one, it seems German Autoparts have very good prices on Audi
parts. http://catalog.thepartsbin.com/, probably more expensive, list
the starter for 119.46$ with a 50$ core charge.
You can also find a used one on the junkyard database at
http://car-part.com/ from 50$ or try www.force5auto.com, probably a bit
more expensive on used parts, but at least you know you talked to a
reputable guy who knows what's an urS. They have a few under the knife.

Any thoughts on the best price for a starter motor?
Seems the detailer guy (arranged by my wife) who drove the car was not
aware of the glitch in the ignition switch and managed to drive around
with the starter engaged....
I was going to get to the switch fix in the spring - damn
Thanks
Aaron
