[s-cars] Catastrophic Engine Stoppage

For what it worth, I had a similar experience on the way home. I had 
blown off the hose to the intercooler inlet; have to pull off the 
plastic cover  under the engine to see it on the front driver side.

It wouldn't run because the MAF measured no air flow and thus little/no 
fuel was supplied to the motor.

SHORT TERM WORKAROUND: Disconnect the electrical connector to the MAF by 
the aircleaner, and the motor will revert to default setting for fuel 
flow based on RPM. I was able to limp it home.

Might be worth a try,
