[s-cars] Oil in MM and Intercoolers

James: I have seen one car in Edmonton (Alvin Mah) running a "catch can" (actually it was more of a filter) to eliminate the blow by flow from the cam
cover going into the air flow. Since my old K24 only put out 14 psi gauge pressure boost, I had presumed that the problem was turbo seals and therefore,
doing anything with the cam cover breather was a waste of time. Now, with a new, tight, turbo, it may be somewhat more important. The problem with the
Samcos is the cross-over to IC hose (formerly the MM hose) cannot be easily removed (good news/bad news) for inspection. You have to loosen the cross over
pipe to get enought play to remove/install the very stiff Samco hose.
Dave F. (still focusing on pinging elimination - but its only 18 deg C today so I probably won't find any anyway.)
