Since one is usually talking grams when comparing rods, it would be helpful
to specify with greater detail what one means by "rod" weight, i.e. are you
weighing with, or without a rod bolt & nut on the scale? etc.

Just as a for example,
Autoverdi - Joern Amundsen post Jan 04, "... total rotating weights
 - connecting rod 428 grams (yes, they are this light)
 - con rod bearings 33 grams
 - oil in clearance 4 grams
 - total rotation weight 465 grams

Joern also included additional balancing information,i.e.

"...Reciprocating weights:
	Piston 306.8 grams
	Pin 20x11x62mm	107.0
	2 pin locks 2.0
	Ring 1 8.3
	Ring 2 9.6
	Ring 3 11.3
       Total 445.0
+ weight of small ConRod ends @ 182 grams = 445+182 = 627 total
reciprocating mass
Bobweights (x5) = 465 grams; + 0.5(627) = 778.5 grams....."

I can't seem to locate the original notes I had on the Carrillo 144mm rods,
but I "thought" they came in some where @ 475 grams, no bearing but with the
fastner (ARP bolt & nut) included.
