I'm with you Kent. I'm on my fourth Audi w/I5 engine. I currently run 2
'youngsters': an 86 5ktq with 157,000 that I bought in Feb of this year and
my 95.5 S6 Avant with 'only' 114,000 miles on it-bought last June. I would
expect no fewer than 250,000 miles out of the engines so long as they have
been serviced somewhat regularly and had the timing belt changed every
60,000-90,000 miles. In essence, I would not be afraid of purchasing a
higher mileage urS4/S6 so long as you can verify service.
