Folks,
Unless someone has a better idea or my coolant stops
disappearing (bout a cup every two weeks,) it looks like it will be a new headgasket.  Losing coolant is a big pita.
I have looked everywhere including under plenum connections with no sign/s of leaks.  Today I tightened everthing one more time so by weds or so I should know that this is the only possible problem. 
This will be a minimalist approach though with only new
raceware studs and new gasket as the plan. 
I can only surmise that 27 psi stretched the bolts a bit.
Car seems to run great though.
