Just a quick disclaimer here:
If you pop a boost hose off and car will not run without unplugging the MAF,
you can rest assured that the hose is waaay off. It's not a tear or a hose
that popped off and is still lined up with where-ever it belongs. When the
hose is off far enough where the only way to run the car is in limp mode
with the MAF unplugged, keep in mind that you are pulling unfiltered air
into the engine; the air is being drawn in where the hose is off. So there
is a potential that something could be sucked into the engine and do damage,
especially if you lose the michelin man hose and are not running a belly
pan. Limping home is way in the rain or snow is a very bad idea.

Interesting, I didn't know you could limp the car with the MAF
unplugged. Good to know... I have a feeling I may need to use that bit
of information tonight..
