Suit yourself, (not to sound nasty)
I have diagnostic gauges. I "should" soon have some datalogging software.
The gauge is there for basic monitoring of boost levels.
I DO NOT find it to be a hard to see area at all, and can look over at it at anytime.
If I wanted a combination gauge I would have chosen the appropriate sender.
I have the factory "BAR" gauge which will give some idea of vacuum levels anyways.
I will be looking towards HOD for my next gauge needs.
As you mentioned, I want to preserve the Audi look.

Subject: [s-cars] Boost gauge for cluster installation (clock replacement)
Mark: I applaud your initiative, perseverence, and ingenuity in
completing the installation. However, I agree with Hap (or did he agree
with me?) that the far right side of the instrument cluster is not a
good place if you really want to monitor your boost. And on the
arguement that once you have your kinks/bugs worked out, you don't need
to look at your gauge (somebody else`s arguement), if that is the case
then a) you might as well not have the gauge at all or b) you are
missing out on the potential for some on-going diagnostic info
(including how much vacuum you are making while cruising at constant
speed)). What we really need is an analogue gauge in the center of the
instrument cluster were the trip computer wasn't in the 93 and later
spec cars (early Canadian "93"'s excepted (as 92 spec cars)). Now that
would be a project!
