Great post, Marc!  And thanks for the flattering photo as I re-aquaint myself with the floorjack.  On the bright side, at least I have proof for my wife of where I was all weekend ;-)

Going fast is great, but the best part of the weekend was the knowledge I picked up.  Now I know that the "flat spot" I felt before at 5k rpm's was the ECU pulling back the timing.  We discovered that Mihnea was able to give me more timing advance running Shell gasoline than Mobile (both 93) - what a difference!  Mihnea also imparted this useful gem:  "Tuning is fun.  Soldering sucks." words to live by...
