[s-cars] Bosch's words on Fuel Pump Voltage

sorry for getting in this thread a little late, but FWIW we typically wire
our race car fuel pumps in such a manner. This is done more for making sure
the pump is getting the most voltage available plus that it is not subject
to any surges/drops. The other reason we wire the race cars this way is to
eliminate any extra crap (read wires, switches, and yes relays). This may
have been covered in previous posts, but I would highly suggest rigging it
in such a way that in the event of an accident the fuel pump will
automatically shut off. Our s-cars ( and all other late model cars)are
designed to do just that. Once the Flywheel stops turning, the pump stops
running. Some cars even have an inertia switch built in. Basically, keep it
as simple, but as safe, as possible.
