[s-cars] Stumbling along under load

Dave, other great S-men,

To recap what I've done:
1. Checked ignition parts and injectors
2. Put Stabilant on connectors
2. Replaced fuel filter
3. Replaced oxygen sensor
4. Pulled codes: 2113
5. Replaced camshaft position sensor
Still stumbling
Spent about $800 at this stage
6. Pulled out ECU, put Stabilant on connectors, checked wires, fuses
7. Remembered from previous work that wires to coil packs were looking bad
(cracked insulation)
8. Taped up wires with Extreme tape ($10)
Problem solved except
1. Engine check light still comes on occasionally (doesn't stay on). (still
2113 code).I will pull the fuse to reset.
2. OK light now flashes when it comes on - strange?

So in summary, I spent $800 needlessly, fixed the problem with a little
tape. I did discover that my car has been worked on by some sloppy
mechanics in the past - head of the cam gear bolt buggered up, clips missing
for trim pieces, etc. Also, the state of the wires to the coil packs is a
result of heat and a sloppy mechanic twisting the wires around.
I still don't know why I'm getting the engine check light occasionally and
the new OK display. Any ideas? If the engine has a problem should the
check light remain on until it is fixed?

Thanks again for all the help,
Bob
