S-fellows,
I said I would report back on how my bitch goddess would respond to my 10mm stubby, and I must say she purrrrrrrrs.
The new thermostat says she is hotter; I was getting 20 mpg, I will see if there is an improvement. The factory Behr thermostat would sit between cold and nominal on a cool day at speed. Obviously, it was tired.
The new serp belt tensioner came in an Audi box that had an expiration date - 01/05. Some comfort there. It also seemed to be a bit stiff rotationally as compared to the OEM one I took off. Should go awhile though.
As for the S-list, and the write-ups to do this job...what can I say except that I never looked at my Bentley CD.
As for Torsen-boy's admonitions that removing the front stuff is a ten minute job, well, he must have multiple appendages in addition to a lift. What a wrestling match. I will say, however, that anyone who attempts a timing belt straight on is downright sadistic.
Next up is a host of RS2 bits.
And to think that five months ago I said I liked my car "just the way it is"....
Lee? Are you listening?
Bottom line - I tore apart my first tricycle. My toys have only gotten pricier...as they say.
