I get the same feeling. I read about the 258 ft lbs 1950 rpm and expected
this car to feel like a torque monster. It still feels like a peaky turbo
motor. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the car, but it's not what I expected.
Granted, I am chasing down some driveability issues that I hope will resolve
this.

What do other people think? does your S car have gobs of low end torque? I
hoping I'll find some wonderful boost leak down there somewhere that will
give me this mad torque I had read about. But I do get 2.1 bar of boost on
my built in gauge...
