Randy, there was a post not long ago about it...
I am surprised you didn't see it before.
There have been enough failures to take note of.
They generally play havoc with your valve train, and cost thousands of
dollars to fix if they take out your timing belt.
I did infact lose a serpentine belt, but was very lucky not to lose the
timing belt, my failure was from a seized (freshly rebuilt) central
hydraulic pump.
If you think your tensioner is gonna fail, change it don't wait....
