No indication on the switch itself just in the IC. I too have wondered
about that second bulb socket.

I've had my ABS switch waiting for installation for 2 winters now...
funny
how it never becomes urgent until November or December, and then it's
too
cold to work on the car! Maybe all this recent discussion will fire me
up
to get busy now.

I have a question for those that have the factory ABS switch:

Is there any indicator in the switch itself when the ABS is disabled, or
just the ABS light in the IC?

The reason I ask is that the switch I have (out of some '89 to '92 Audi)
has
two bulb sockets, but one is empty. I'm guessing the fitted bulb is for
the
switch illumination. Perhaps the other one is unused in the ABS switch?
Or
is it supposed to light up to show that ABS is switched off?
