Clamping force, or holding torque. Clamping force tells you nothing,
unless you know the coefficient of friction of the assembly at that
clamping force to deduce holding torque. For instance my clutch has a
lighter clamping force than a stock clutch, so much so that the peddle
feels really light, but way more holding torque, from what I was told.

I heard the other day on Audiworld that someone tested the clamping
force of
the SPEC, it was no where near what SPEC stated. Also, one member had
his
SPEC for 1 year until the pressure plate broke inb half. I guess this
just
proves that you can blow anything up.
I'm happy with mine though...
