Dave;
I've got a small plastic cover over the s-belt at the hydraulic pump - is
this what you are referring to?

Subject: [s-cars] Serpentine Belt Cover (!!??)
I was just over at another listers place (Gabriel Caldwell). Gabriel
has a 10/91 "ZZZ" code car (Cyclamen/Platinum) that he is just about
finished restofying. I was lending him my OEM MAF (now that I am
RS2'd) for testing. While we are looking at the engine bays, he asks
whether I have a serpentine belt cover (Huh?). No, I don't why.
Because he does. Huh!? The cover is about 2" x 2" x 10", black plastic,
and snaps onto the serpentine belt tensioner and bolts to part of a
bracket just above the alternator. The part number is 054 903 123 B. I
presume it was to keep fingers and neck ties, sleeves, etc. from getting
caught in the serpentine belt because it totally covers the belt. I
think the cover is set up to just pivot clockwise around the bolt for
periodic serpentine belt inspection.
Does anyone else have this cover or was it a deleted item for 93, etc.
???
Dave F.
