[s-cars] Demon possessed electronics

Hi Evan:
No experience with this on my S6, but had the window/roof issue on my old
5000TQ. My at that time soon to be x-girlfriend was using the car and
"fixed" it by slamming the driver's side door which often jarred the under
dash relay sufficiently to get the windows to work.
After enough slams, the cracked cold solder joint in the relay became too
loose to make even intermittent contact. This is about the time she
informed of the problem and her "fix". I pulled the relay upon advice of
the mother list, found a cracked joint, touched it with an iron, took my
keys away from her and...
Don't know if the S-cars have the same configuration but...
Regards,
Mark

S-Heads,
This is my first post to the list after recently purchasing a 1995 UrS6
from Kent Anderson at KAR of MN. (Here's my car, if you're interested:
http://www.karquattro.com/html/0263.html).
Anyway, this is my first Audi and I'm in love. I'll be attending the
Mihnea tuning session coming up in CT and I'm sure that I'll be even more
in love when I add some power to it. Slippery slope, here I come!
I do have a problem that has seemed to develop recently that it causing me
some concern. Sometimes when I start the car up, the automatic climate
control computer does not spring to life, along with my power windows and
roof. Typically a "reboot" or two will fix it, shutting the car off,
waiting a few seconds and starting it back up. However, it seems to be
happening more frequently lately, now from once in a blue moon to several
times a week. There doesn't seem to be any kind of consistency to it, like
it's not just first thing in the morning, or after it has been running for
a bit. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Evan
