[s-cars] S4 questions

I will jump in and try to give what little info I
can....

I am a relatively new S4 owner (94 model).

Avants were only 95.5 S6's in the US, and I read once
(European Car Magazine) that there were only 197
imported.  They do demand a healthy premium over the
sedans currently.  In the sedans, it's pretty much a
buyers market.  For the Avants, it's a sellers market.

The rear sway bar only came on the US spec 92 S4 and
the 95.5 Avants.

You will notice that I keep referring to the 95.5 year
model.  The S4 was pretty much teh same from 92 to 94.
 The body changed slightly in 95 (new A6 and S-car
called S6).  The 95.5 cars got the factory 3 spoke
sport steering wheel, the 16" AVUS wheels, and maybe
some other small things I cannot remember.

The 92's also got a torsen rear diff, that the rest of
the S-Cars did not get.  The 93's got caron fiber trim
instead of wood.  92's got Canadian Elm (light colored
wood) or burled Walnut and all the rest (94-95) got
the burled walnut (this is all US info, as the Carbon
Fiber was available in Europe as an option from 92-97
in the C4 chassis car).

Also, canada got only a very few Avants at all, but
also still received them through the 97 model year.

As far a "ticks", you will like teh S-cars much more
than the Type 44 cars.  More comfortable, stiffer
chassis, fewer "ticks"

Electrics seem to be the biggest issue.  (bulbs,
alarms, shorts, ect...)

Yes, the RS2 manifold and turbo will bolt right on
(different motor code, though.  Your 200 Turbo 20V
quattro was / is a 3B motor.  All the S-cars were the
AAN motor.  I cannot tell you the differences, but do
know the motor code changed.

If you get a non-avant S6 or 93-94 S4, pay attention
to the HRSB that is commonly discussed (Happer-Sized
Rear Sway Bar).  You will need the mounting stuff that
you can get with this as well.
